appreciation of stocks, while obtaining a charitable
deduction for the full market value at the time of the gift.
Making the gift is simple. Just instruct your broker to
transfer your stock via DTC to our account (Account
#015/112-017748004) with our broker, at Morgan Stanley
Dean Witter in Palo Alto. The DTC number is 015. Please
give MSDW a call at 650-853-4004 or 800-755-8081 to let
a broker know when to expect the transfer. A broker sells
the stock for the Peninsula Stroke Association at a
preferred commission rate. If you have the actual stock
certificate, you can call a broker and he will be happy to
help you.
