Stay tuned for the 2008 Women and Stroke Spring Lectures Series.  Below you will see information about
the 2007 series which was a great success.

According to the American Heart Association more women die from heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular
diseases (CVD) than men, yet many women do not realize they are at risk. These diseases kill more women each
year than the next five causes of death combined.

Stroke is the No. 3 cause of death for American women and is a leading cause of serious, long-term disability.
Stroke kills more women than men. In 2003, females represented 61 percent of stroke deaths.

Join us at one of the
Women and Stroke 2007 Lecture Series and learn more about stroke, risk factors specific
