The Human Race is a statewide community fundraising event that encourages
participants to raise money for their favorite nonprofit organization. The race is
organized by local Volunteer Centers.

On Saturday May 10, a team of runners, walkers, and wheelchair riders will joined PSA at the Human Race 2008 in
honor of Jack and Cyndy Bradley. This year we were supported with teams Concentric and Good Samaritan Hospital

EVERYBODY can join the PSA team, collect pledges, and walk, ride the wheelchair or run with us. The Human Race is
the annual premier community fundraising event providing all nonprofit organizations the opportunity to raise money
for their programs and services. The event is produced by the Volunteer Center of Silicon Valley.
Activities include a USA Track and Field certified 10K run, 5K run and a 5K Pledge Walk. The course is flat and
wheelchair accessible. Roller blades, scooters and strollers are welcome on the walk course. Pledge walkers with
leashed dogs have a separate course.

- Get a pledge form from Peninsula Stroke Association and collect pledges in honor and/or in loving memory
of someone.
- Ask your co-workers, friends, family, and anyone you know to support your participation in the Human Race and
collect pledges of support from them.
Step 2: Send checks to the Peninsula Stroke Association
- Pledge collectors who collect pledges for $50 or more get a PSA Human Race Team T-Shirt!
- Please send checks and the pledge form to Peninsula Stroke Association at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Bldg.
6, Room A162, Palo Alto, CA 94304.
- Checks should be made out to: "Human Race - Volunteer Center" with “Peninsula Stroke Association”
noted on the check's memo line.
- Donations are tax deductible.
Step 3: Join the PSA team on Saturday, May 10 at 7:45 a.m. at Shoreline Park
- Come to the Shoreline Park at 3070 N. Shoreline Boulevard, Mountain View, CA 94043 on
Saturday May 10 at 7:45 am.
- Look for the Peninsula Stroke Association table!!!
This year's Human Race is in honor of a tireless stroke survivor and her
husband who refused to give up. Join us in honoring this wonderful couple and
all stroke survivor families!
